F1 - Super Aguri trucks leave for Spain
Super Aguri confirmed their presence at the Spanish GP when their trucks left for Spain
Super Aguri has confirmed that its trucks left for Barcelona for this week’s Spanish Grand Prix at the weekend.
The struggling team’s participation in this Sunday’s race has been up in the air since it was announced last week that prospective buyers the Magma Group had pulled out of its takeover of the outfit.
This threw the Leafield squad’s immediate future into doubt once more, with team co-owner Fumio Akita admitting it may have to bank on extra support from backers Honda to make Spain.
But while there has been no further news on any resolution to the team’s current plight, its transporters with race cars have headed to Barcelona as scheduled.
A Super Aguri spokeswoman confirmed to itv.com/f1 that the final trucks left for the circuit on Sunday.
She added that the team had no further comment to make on its current situation.
